In 2025, it’s not your resume that opens the door. It’s your voice.
You might think public speaking is just for TEDx stages or polished entrepreneurs, but what if I told you that every time you open your mouth at work, with clients, even on Zoom, you’re already a speaker? And the most successful women know how to wield their voice with power and purpose.
Marcus Y. Rosier isn’t your typical motivational speaker. When he speaks, you don’t just hear words — you feel them.

During my recent conversation with me, Marcus dropped this truth:
“We are all speakers. The only difference is — what audience are we speaking to?”
That line stopped me in my tracks.
Because for years, I thought being a “good speaker” meant being charismatic or outgoing. I didn’t realize I was already speaking every single day, to my clients, my boss, even myself but not always with clarity, confidence, or intention.
Marcus made me realize that speaking isn’t just a skill. It’s a mirror reflecting how we see ourselves and what we believe we deserve.
The biggest misconception about communication?
That it’s only about delivery.
In reality, great speakers aren’t great because they have perfect grammar or a slick tone.
They’re great because they’re deeply aware of who they are, what they value, and how they want to make people feel.
Marcus calls this “freedom, self-awareness, and expression.”
And here’s the kicker: most people don’t have that.
They either overthink and say nothing or speak without truly being heard.
Imagine you’re a radio station. Your signal might be strong, but if you’re not tuned to the right frequency your message gets lost in static.
Speaking is the most powerful tool you already have but most of us are using it on autopilot.
If you want to lead, inspire, or stand out in 2025, it’s not about having a louder voice.
It’s about having a clearer one.
Here’s what Marcus recommends (and I wholeheartedly agree):
- Speak with intention, not perfection.
- Know your message before you worry about your words.
- And most of all, give yourself permission to evolve.
You can’t speak like the woman you’re becoming… if you’re still talking like the woman you used to be.
If you’re ready to become the kind of woman who owns the room with her presence not just her pitch start with your voice.
Record yourself.
Listen back.
Ask: Did I say what I really meant to say?
Did I lead with clarity, or with doubt?
Let this be the year you stop shrinking and start speaking.
